Yes. We have both indoor and outdoor courts. There are currently 12 dedicated outdoor Pickleball courts and 3 indoor seasonal courts. Go to Outdoor Courts and Indoor Courts for more information.


The short answer is...it depends.

For the seasonal indoor courts, yes, you must be a paid, registered Harwich resident to play at any time.

For the year-round outdoor courts, there are certain times on certain courts when only paid, registered Harwich members can play, but there are also times and certain courts when anyone can play for free. Even during Member play, there are two courts available (6 & 8) for free/public play. Go to Outdoor Courts and Indoor Courts for more information.


No. At this time, there is no option for someone to drop-in to play during member play, even if paying a drop-in fee.


No. At this time, paid members cannot bring guests or friends to play during member play time.


For the year-round outdoor courts, courts 6 & 8 are designated for free/public play even during member play times. There are rules that must be followed for those two courts. For example, if there are people waiting to play you must only play 1 game to 11 and then leave the court to let the next group play. For more information, go to Outdoor Courts.

For the seasonal indoor courts, you must be a paid, registered Harwich resident to play at any time. The indoor season runs October to May.

For the year-round outdoor courts, there are certain times on certain courts when only paid, registered Harwich members can play, but there are also times and certain courts when anyone can play. Even during Member play, there are two courts available (6 & 8) for open /public play.

All players must register through the Harwich Recreation Department using the MyRec page. You must setup an account on the MyRec page to register for either outdoor or indoor Pickleball. The Harwich Community Center, located at 100 Oak Street, Harwich, MA 02645. 


The hours for outdoor play are from 8am to 10pm, 7 days-a-week. The outdoor courts have lights for nighttime play.

Indoor play is seasonal from about October through May. The available times indoors are generally 8am to 11am Monday through Saturday.  More information can be found on the Outdoor and Indoor courts pages.


Yes. The courts can be rented for private events and parties from noon to 10pm. Contact the Harwich Recreation Department for more information.


Pickleball lessons are not offered directly through Harwich Recreation Department, but lessons are available through two coaches. You must pre-pay through the Harwich Recreation Department. Once payment is made, you can schedule directly with the coaches.

Coach Tony Hojnoski: coaches intermediate and advanced at 413-374-2778.
